2025 is shaping up to be a magical year, and I am absolutely buzzing with excitement! We've got live-action remakes, animated sequels, and even some fresh adventures on the horizon. You know I’m counting down the days for Snow White (the original was my childhood favorite), Lilo & Stitch, and Zootopia 2. So, grab your Mickey ears and let’s dive into what Disney has in store for us this year!
1. Captain America: Brave New World (Feb 14, 2025)

Marvel fans, assemble! Sam Wilson is officially stepping into the Captain America suit, and he’s got a huge international crisis on his hands. Expect high-stakes action, secret conspiracies, and maybe even a surprise or two (fingers crossed for some epic cameos).
Cast: Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, Danny Ramirez, Seth Rollins, Rosa Salazar, Shira Haas, Liv Tyler, Carl Lumbly, and Tim Blake Nelson.
2. Snow White (March 21, 2025)

The fairest of them all is back! This live-action remake brings the classic fairytale to life with stunning visuals and musical numbers (YES to more Disney songs!). And let’s be real—Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen? Chills.
Cast: Rachel Ziegler, Gal Gadot, Andrew Burnap, Ansu Kabia, and Martin Klebba.
3. Thunderbolts (May 2, 2025)

Marvel is shaking things up with this antihero squad. Thunderbolts brings together villains-turned-government-agents for some not-so-heroic missions. If you loved Suicide Squad, this is your Marvel movie of the year.
Cast: David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Geraldine Viswanathan, Lewis Pullman, Olga Kurylenko and Florence Pugh.
4. Lilo & Stitch (May 23, 2025)

Ohana means family, and this live-action adaptation better do our favorite blue alien justice! Lilo’s heartwarming story with her chaotic but lovable pet/alien/experiment is getting a fresh take, and I cannot wait to see Stitch causing mayhem in live-action.
Cast: Chris Sanders, Maia Kealoha, Sydney Agudong, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, and Courtney B. Vance.
5. Elio (June 13, 2025)

Pixar is back with another intergalactic adventure! Elio is about an 11-year-old boy who accidentally becomes Earth’s representative in an alien society. Think Inside Out meets Guardians of the Galaxy—this could be Pixar’s next masterpiece.
Cast: Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldana, Brad Garrett, and Jameela Jamil.
6. The Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 25, 2025)

Marvel’s first family is finally joining the MCU! This prequel is set in the ‘60s and introduces the Fantastic Four as they take on Galactus—a giant space god who literally eats planets. No big deal, right?
Cast: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.
7. Freakier Friday (Aug 8, 2025)

Get ready for another body-swap disaster! Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan return for this sequel, but this time, the body-switching madness spreads to a whole new generation. Expect laughs, chaos, and plenty of “Why is this happening?!” moments.
Cast: Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Stephen Tobolowsky, Lucille Soong and Rosalind Chao.
8. Tron: Ares (Oct 10, 2025)

It’s been a minute since we last visited the Grid, but Tron is back! This sci-fi epic follows Ares, a program that escapes into the real world. If you love neon lights, futuristic action, and Jared Leto, this one's for you.
Cast: Jared Leto, Evan Peters, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Hasan Minhaj, Gillian Anderson, and Sarah Desjardins.
9. Zootopia 2 (Nov 26, 2025)

Detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back, and this time they’re facing off against a mysterious reptilian villain! More hilarious disguises? More buddy-cop banter? More sloths at the DMV? Sign. Me. Up.
Cast: Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Ke Huy Quan, Idris Elba, and Fortune Feimster.
10. Avatar: Fire and Ash (Dec 19, 2025)

James Cameron is taking us back to Pandora, but this time, we’re meeting a fiery and hostile new tribe—the Ash People. Expect breathtaking visuals, intense battles, and all the blue people drama.
Cast: Sam Worthington, Edie Falco, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Kate Winslet, David Thewlis, and Oona Chaplin.
