My bucket list boo-ze cruise adventure: the Haunted Mansion Parlor onboard the Disney Treasure

Published on 1 March 2025 at 14:07

Welcome, Foolish Mortals! Or should I say, future shipmates of the supernatural? If you’re anything like me—obsessed with Disney, enamored with all things spooky, and (shamefully) still a cruise-line rookie—then the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure is an absolute must-visit. I haven’t even set sail on my first cruise yet, but this eerie, cocktail-filled haunt is already on my bucket list. If you're a Haunted Mansion when, you need to hear about this awesome bar!

A spook-tacular atmosphere

Picture this: You’re walking down the corridor of the Disney Treasure when you suddenly feel a chill. The iconic Haunted Mansion wallpaper looms ahead, the flickering candlelight beckons, and as you step inside…BAM! You’re transported into a ghostly first-class lounge from the golden age of cruising.

This isn’t just any bar—it’s an experience. With spectral portraits that shift between mortal and ghostly states, a glowing aquarium where skeletal fish swim, and a certain Madame Leota making magical appearances, the entire space is filled with eerie elegance.

Cocktails to die for

Now, let’s talk about the real spirits of the evening—the ones served in glasses! The drink menu at the Haunted Mansion Parlor is inspired by the legendary characters and stories of the attraction. If I were there right now, I’d be sipping on The Final Vow, served in a mug shaped like the mermaid bride, or The Last Catch, inspired by the ghostly fisherman.

But wait, it gets better! Some drinks arrive in fog-filled boxes, revealing hidden messages from Madame Leota under blacklight (I mean, come ON—how cool is that?). Others contain edible glitter, making your potion look extra enchanting. And for those who prefer booze-free beverages, there are magical mocktails that still bring the ghostly glam.

Secrets lurking in the shadows

One of the coolest aspects of the Haunted Mansion Parlor? It’s packed with secrets. The room itself tells a haunting story of a vanished sea captain and his mysterious fiancée—clues are scattered around the bar, just waiting to be uncovered.

And speaking of secrets… if you’re savvy enough to solve the eerie fill-in-the-blank puzzle hidden in the menu, you’ll gain access to a secret menu of exclusive drinks. Now that’s a ghostly challenge I’m dying to take on!

Souvenirs worth haunting your wallet for

No Disney experience is complete without a little merch, and the Haunted Mansion Parlor has just the thing—an exclusive mug collection inspired by the attraction. Yes, they’re a little pricey, but let’s be real: Who doesn’t want a ghostly ship captain staring back at them while they sip their morning coffee?

Why this haunt is a must-visit for me

I’m already convinced that when I finally book my first-ever cruise (it’s happening, I swear!), this will be my first stop on board. Between the immersive theming, cleverly crafted drinks, and eerie ambience, the Haunted Mansion Parlor isn’t just a bar—it’s a full-on supernatural experience.

So, will you be setting sail on this ghostly voyage? Let me know in the comments… and if you’ve already been, tell me: Does it smell spooky enough for you? (Because apparently, that’s a thing!)
